Healing for the Wounded Heart
"Christian Prayer For Healing"
"He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds."
Psalm 147:3 (KJV)
Devotional
Life often leaves us with wounds. Heartbreak, loss, disappointment, and pain can make it feel as though healing is impossible. The weight of sorrow may seem too much to bear, and you may wonder if you will ever feel whole again. But take heart, God sees you and He is the ultimate Healer.
Psalm 147:3 gives us a comforting truth. God does not just acknowledge your pain, He actively heals it. He binds up your wounds with His love, restoring you with His grace and renewing your spirit. No hurt is too deep for Him to mend, and no sorrow is beyond His reach. He turns pain into testimony and despair into renewed hope.
Healing is not always immediate. It is a journey that requires patience, trust, and surrender. With every prayer, every moment spent in His presence, and every step forward, He is working in ways you may not see. His love is your comfort, His presence is your refuge, and His promises are your foundation.
Prayer for Healing
Heavenly Father,
I come before You with a heart that feels broken and weary. The pain I carry sometimes feels overwhelming, but I know You are the Healer of all wounds. Thank You for seeing my hurt, for holding me close, and for restoring me with Your love.
Bind up the wounds in my heart, Lord. Fill me with Your peace and renew my spirit. Help me to trust in Your perfect plan, even when I do not understand. Remind me that I am never alone and that Your love is stronger than any sorrow I face.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
